POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our Kenosha, WI. location is dedicated to chocolate production, making delicious chocolate that is eaten all around the world. We are looking for individuals that would like to join our great operation’s team to help bring joy to others with the chocolate we make.
The Production Operator will observe all Puratos GMP’s, SOP’s, and SQF standards. This role will operate assigned production line as set forth by the Packaging Lead, safely and efficiently, while maintaining high quality standards that meet or exceed Puratos and customer requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able to safely work with industrial equipment, including operation, change over and basic maintenance
Report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and Quality Technician. Immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor, maintenance, or management.
Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of their work center
Comply with all company SOP’s, GMP’s, and SQF regulations
Maintain a neat and sanitary work area
Conching/Mixing: Responsible for our Conching/Mixing of refined products set forth by Refiner Lead. Understand recipes and ingredients used for specifications. Knowledge of viscosity, adjustments, and pumping of out products.
Depositing: Depositor operator is responsible for ensuring a steady flow of product down each production line. Troubleshooting color, shape, and size issues along with viscosity. The shape and product type are managed here to ensure the correct ingredient is produced in the packaging.
Refining: Prepare and operate the pre-refiner, refiners, and conches to achieve the desired fineness and viscosity.
Packaging: Operate all packaging equipment to ensure the product meets customer standards and complete all required paperwork and checks. Troubleshooting color, shape, and size issues.
Operate automated production line per SOP instructions
Ensure line is sanitized using specified procedures
Apply product specific labels and best by labeling
Effectively communicate to other operators, leads or supervisors
Produce chocolate as required by daily planning
Sanitize department as described in sanitation guide
Perform any other duties as instructed by the management
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Candidates with experience in a manufacturing, light industrial, or job shop environment preferred
Must be able to use production computer screens as instructed
Must have a positive attitude and willing to learn
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate both verbal and in written form in English
Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand system instruction and training materials
Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
Must be able to follow instructions
Must have passed company physical when required
Must be able to lift 50 lb
Frequent pushing or pulling of material and/or equipment. Frequent standing and walking
Attendance record must be in good standing
High School Degree preferred, additional education is a plus

Pay: $18.10 - $20.50 per hour
