In this role you will work closely with DPPM Debug leads and Program managers to consistently improve testing efficiency over time.\n\nTHE PERSON\nThe candidate must possess a BS or MSEE degree and have over 2 years of relevant work experience in automation and testing environments. The individual must be highly proficient in shell and Python programming and have a solid understanding of first-level debug in x86 SOC and computer/system platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for a successful candidate.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nIntegrates DPPM calculation tests into large-scale data center automation environments.\nOwn the execution of DPPM test content, including occasional weekend monitoring and troubleshooting tasks.\nCollaborate with various teams to enhance the efficiency of DPPM test content proactively.\nConduct initial debugging of DPPM execution test failures, implement corrective measures, or submit tickets for advanced debugging assistance.\nWork with cross-functional teams to create software tools that improve SoC Validation coverage and streamline the debugging process.\nDevelop robust solutions to address execution problems.\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\nProficiency in Python and Shell Scripting.\nExperience working and running tests at scale on servers.\nPractical experience with System Validation Automation Tools and Infrastructure, including Ansible, PyInfra, Jenkins, and Dockers.\nHands-on experience in designing and implementing various testing methodologies, test automation, and continuous integration systems.\nExceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet tight deadlines.\nSolid understanding of Linux and Linux OS kernel.\nPrevious experience with server systems and/or first-level debugging in computer platforms.\nPrior experience in Linux server administration and Linux boot flow.\nFamiliarity with Computer Architecture concepts and silicon features.\nKnowledge of Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) x86 is a plus.\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electronics / Computer Science related 2+ years of experience in Test Automation/validation development and test execution and debug.\n\nLOCATION\nAustin, TX, USA\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\n#LI-AG1\n\n#LI-HYBRID\nQualifications:\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
