The successful candidate will be responsible to coordinate design deliverables including general arrangement drawings, electrical equipment plan & elevation drawings, above & below grade conduit & grounding drawings, relay house layout and complete bill of materials.ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance and collaborate substation Physical Design and P&C activities including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials.Provide guidance and collaborate activities to ensure the quality of work before it is presented to Lead Engineer for review.\r\nEnsure all designs conform to our client's and industry standards.\r\nCommunicate and coordinate project activities with lead engineer and/or project manager.\r\nUtilize client and/or company information system to track and update design activities.\r\nParticipate/lead job site meetings to gather scope of work.\r\nParticipate/lead in answering Request for Information (RFI) during project construction.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired\r\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET approved college or university.\r\n8+ years of experience working in substation design or similar with utility or consulting engineering firm\r\nProficient using Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail\r\nBasic written and verbal communication skills\r\nPreferred\r\nProfessional Engineer Certification preferred but not required.\r\nExperience with substation design and construction standards for Southern California Edison.\r\nExperience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.\r\nExperience with Primavera P6BenefitsE2 Consulting Engineers, Inc.offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off.Wage Data Per State RequirementsThis position will pay between $160,000 and $185,000, depending on experience and skill set.Work Environment/Physical DemandsWork Environment\r\nThis job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
