This role provides support to the Grants & Corporate Partnerships & Investments Manager in all aspects of grant and corporate fundraising, including drafting and submitting grant proposals, researching potential new funders, collecting data for and preparing grant reports, and maintaining accurate records in Salesforce and SharePoint. A successful Coordinator leverages their excellent written and verbal communication skills for relationship building and stewardship. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Administrative (20%)·      Ensures prompt acknowledgment of grants and corporate gifts, and assists with funder recognition tasks;·      Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in SharePoint files and in the Salesforce database, including promptly entering grant and corporate donations; ·      Prepares communications to current and prospective funders or sponsors on behalf of the Manager;·      Participates in department and team meetings, including preparing agendas and facilitating the meeting;·      Completes other related tasks as assigned by Manager or Director.Grants and Corporate Giving (75%)·      Conducts prospect research to identify and recommend potential funders and sponsors;·      Drafts proposals to foundations and corporate partners for review and approval by Manager, persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs;·      Submits online grant proposals ahead of due dates adhering to funder’s guidelines and requirements;·      Gathers data and drafts grant reports for review and approval by Manager;·      Pulls reports from the Salesforce database to gather program details for grant tracking and reporting;·      Assists with securing corporate sponsorships for Ceres’ Harvest of the Heart annual event, including related stewardship and recognition tasks.·      Provides support as needed to the Manager in a timely manner;·      Completes other related tasks as assigned by Manager or Director.Corporate Volunteer Giving & Events (5%)·      Assist with providing warm, welcoming volunteer experiences for corporate groups in our gardens & kitchens Assist with volunteer and donor appreciation events, annual Harvest of the Heart fundraiser, and other community-based fundraising events including pre-event coordination, event set up/breakdown, and hosting.·      Represent Ceres at relevant events such as grant receptions, networking events, service group meetings, and others.  Qualifications Excellent written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals. Warm, personable and professional communication style with colleagues, donors and community.1 or more years of grant writing and/or relevant experience preferred, but not required.Skilled online researcher, and familiarity with grant research databases. Excellent computer skills and high degree of comfort with computer technology and emerging tools such as AI. Must be proficient with Word and Excel and prefer some knowledge of Salesforce or previous database experience.Keen attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work independently within the structure of the role.·      Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects and timelines, and practice sound judgment.·      Ability to seek and synthesize information, and communicate succinctly. ·      Ability and desire to be in a work environment that values working as a team, relationships, and giving and receiving honest feedback.Commitment to self-motivated learning and inquiry.
