Architect I
Job DescriptionAs Architect I, you will be responsible for particular parts of a project within parameters set by others; assisting in the design development, modification and/or review planning concepts and solutions; developing architectural drawings to communicate planning concepts for project documentation and construction; and preparing and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc.We are looking for demonstrated proficiency in exercising independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, solving problems when encountered, and receiving guidance on complex projects. Your contributions are to develop technical construction details, while performing work that requires independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.Education + ExperienceBachelor of Architecture from an accredited universityLicensed or non-registered graduate certification3-5+ years of experienceTechnical SkillsDemonstrated proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch Up. Demonstrated proficiency in business software such as Word, Excel, Teams, Bluebeam & Outlook. Proficiency in 2D and 3D sketching and modeling techniques. (Preferred, not required)General Objectives And ResponsibilitiesExercises independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, solves problems when encountered and receives guidance on complex projects. Demonstrates competence in all conventional aspects of architecture. Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Exercises independent judgement to solve problems encountered. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex issues and supervisory approval on proposed project plans. Anticipates and develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards. Develops technical construction details. Coordinates with engineering and other consultants. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions and independently performs assignments. Devises new approaches to problems encountered and discusses with project manager as needed. Communicates with other disciplines, vendors and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary. Consults with manufacturers, evaluates and helps select project related materials and specifications. Performs product research. Assists Management in writing specifications as needed. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers, coworkers and subcontractors; including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
