Craig Technologies’s scope of service in Sentinel’s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.\n\nA major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Craig Technologies has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.\n\nJob Summary:\nIn this role as Structural Engineer, you will support the structural design for the project. This will entail originating structural calculations, specifications, material requisitions, and technical studies or reports. Additionally, checking of design drawings and review and coordination of vendor information. Work with other Structural engineers and technical disciplines in a team environment.\n\nMajor Responsibilities:\nDesigns structures using knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering\nOriginates structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions\nPrepares specifications and related documents\nPrepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations\nProvides direct support to other engineering disciplines for Structural related matters\nReviews structural drawings and design details\nPrepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals\nCoordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines\nAssists in preparation of quantity takeoffs.\nAssists in constructability reviews\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\nRequires a bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience\n\nRequired Knowledge and Skills:\nRegistered Engineer in Training (E.I.T. or equivalent)\nExperience with Microsoft office programs, and other common computer programs\nExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)\nWorking knowledge and application of the AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 318, IBC and ASCE 7\nBroad knowledge of the application of Structural engineering design principles.\nPrevious experience using structural analysis software such as GTSTRUDL or STAAD.Pro\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience executing engineering and design with Tekla software\nDesign experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide\nIntermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact\nRegistered Professional Engineer in USA (Civil or Structural Engineering)\nMaster’s degree in Structural or related Engineering discipline from an accredited university\nPossess active security clearance\nPrior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense\nThe salary range for this role is $88,000 – $115,000; however, Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.\nNote: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job.
