Using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), the CMM Operator measures the product’s geometric dimensions and verifies results are within tolerance.\n\nProfessional development is encouraged of the CMM Operator and TTM will support the employee pursuing and obtaining their GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) certification.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities :\n\nRead and accurately understand the shop traveler (job order, instructions, and customer specifications).\nSet up and operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).\nRun the CMM, simple hand tools, and gauges. Enter dimension and measurements data into the electronic records system.\nCompare results to the customer specifications and independently determine if results are acceptable.\nImmediately escalate product issues to management or engineering.\nConsistently evaluate product for quality, verifying departmental procedures are completed accurately.\nAcquire production materials, set up the production area, and maintain a clean and safe environment.\nFollow all safety training and procedures as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical handling, and hazardous waste.\nResponsible for immediately reporting all accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.\nCross train on operations and equipment within the area.\n\nEssential Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements :\n\nAbility to read and comprehend English written instructions, including manufacturing work orders, customer specifications, blueprints, and shop control documents.\nQuality centered mindset with strong attention-to-detail and an understanding of mathematical concepts such as x-y axis.\nAble to be a positive team member while also working independently.\nManual dexterity (hand/finger/eye coordination) is essential to the CMM Operator job.\nGeneral computer skills and ability to update electronic records, enter data into systems, and send emails.\nAble to sit or stand throughout a shift and independently push, pull, or lift 10-40-pounds.\nAble to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.\nConsistently meet attendance requirements. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as necessary.\nComfortable working within a manufacturing environment that includes machinery, moving parts, noise, and chemicals.\nAbility and willingness to cross-train in other departments, learning to operate other machinery.\n\nEducation and Experience :\n\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.\n\nExperience: 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
