Here, you will make an impact by:\n\nDesigning, developing, and maintaining Snowflake database objects, including views and related SQL-based transformations, to support finance analytics and reporting needs\nDeveloping, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries and backend data logic that support business reporting and analytics\nPartnering with cross-functional stakeholders including Controllers, Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Business Finance, FP&A, Manufacturing, Data Intelligence, and IT, including teams across global locations\nAnalyzing and integrating data across multiple systems and sources to improve data accuracy, quality, consistency, and visibility\nSupporting the development and maintenance of Power BI semantic models to enable scalable and high-performing reporting solutions\nInvestigating and resolving complex data and reporting issues where root cause and resolution may not be immediately apparent\nProviding ongoing support for user-reported issues and tickets to ensure reporting and analytics solutions continue to operate effectively\nMonitoring data processes and reporting outputs, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes or workarounds to maintain accuracy and efficiency.\nRecommending and implementing improvements related to data design, reporting performance, standardization, and automation.\nContributing to process optimization and continuous improvement efforts that enhance team productivity and resource efficiency.\nAppling development best practices including version control, documentation, testing, and collaboration within Agile ways of working.\nStaying current on industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud data platforms, analytics engineering, and BI modeling to identify innovative solutions.\n\nYour Skills and Expertise\n\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution\nThree (3) years of experience in IT, Data Analytics, Reporting & Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or FP&A in a private, public, government or military environment\nOne (1) year of hands-on experience using SQL to write complex queries for analytics, reporting, and data-driven business insights\n\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nHands-on experience with the Snowflake data platform, including database architecture, roles/security concepts, and creation of views and other database objects.\nExperience building or supporting Power BI data models/semantic models for reporting and analytics.\nExperience with GitHub or similar version control tools\nAbility to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.\nAbility to translate business requirements into scalable, data-driven technical solutions.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to understand finance processes, metrics, and reporting requirements.\nExperience supporting finance analytics, reporting, or automation use cases.\nKnowledge of Finance (RTR) datasets, source systems, and security models.\nExperience working with cross-functional global teams.\nKnowledge of Scrum methodology.\nOneStream experience.\n\nWork location:\n\nOn-site: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week from one of the following 3M Center locations; Maplewood, MN, Austin, TX, London, ON\n\nTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/international\n\nRelocation Assistance: Not authorized\n\nMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).\n\nSupporting Your Well-being\n\n3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
