We are driven to provide opportunities for our people, make a diﬀerence with our clients and communities, and pursue a better way.\n\nWhile every day is a little unique, click here to check out a day in the life with Interstates.\nResponsibilities:\nProsper at Interstates\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nPlan and design significant portions of a control system\nWork with project team to develop the scope of a project including defining how the control system should work, defining the reports/documentation, defining the screens/graphics, and defining the type of startup support needed\nEnsure proper testing and documentation of significant portions of a control system\nProvide configuration, installation and troubleshooting of HMI/PC/PLC hardware and software, and customer networks at customer’s site\nPerform in-house and in-plant customer operator training for the control system\nDevelop programming standards and ensuring team compliance\nCoach and train other Interstates employees on the team\nPerform technical design, code reviews, and help in estimating pricing for projects\nOther duties may be assigned.\nQualifications:\nKnowledge and Expertise for this Role\nBachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) from four-year college or university with an emphasis in Computer Studies or some branch of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.) or Associate’s degree (A.A., A.S.) from a two-year community college or technical school with an emphasis in Computer Studies or Instrumentation and Controls preferred.\nOr equivalent combination of education and related experience/training\nExperience in programming in the Industrial Environment, implementing Industrial Control Software (Startup) and experience in dealing with customers regarding system requirements\nExperience with object oriented programming, user interface development, database systems, and system integration\nPreferred skills or industry knowledge\nValue-add Ag such as: Ethanol, Seed Oil, Petfood\nFood & Bev\nContinuous Process\nBeneﬁts You Can Depend On\nIn addition to highly competitive pay and quality beneﬁts, Interstates strives to oﬀer opportunities for education and career development, empowering you to have a career that’s built to last.
