Advanced Bookkeeper - CPA Firm QuickBooks Pro (In-office)

Job Description This position is in-office in Shelton, CTThis role provides both in-person and remote support to a diverse range of clients—including exciting start-ups and small businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online, and a deep understanding of small business financial operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and clean up client accounts (individuals and entities)Maintain consistent client communication and relationship managementQuickBooks knowledge and experience is a mustSupport Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) questionsEnter transactions into client's accounting systemsIdentify and prepare journal entries, as neededPerform account reconciliations (bank, credit card, etc.)Prepare and file Sales Tax returns with sales reconciliationsPrepare Payroll and 1099 FilingsPrepare Annual Income and Expense and Personal Property Tax filingAssist clients with accounting software, app integration, POS systems, and other tech solutionsSupport special projects as neededWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 4 years of bookkeeping experience or equivalent certificateExpertise with QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks Desktop experience a plus)QuickBooks ProAdvisor credentials preferredHands-on experience with financial automation tools and QuickBooks integrationsSolid understanding of both cash and accrual accountingStrong organizational and time-management skillsExperience filing Sales Tax returnsBonus: Administrative or tax season support experienceWhy You'll Love Working With Us401(k) with company matchPaid health insurance for employeesDependent/spouse coverage available at employee costSupportive, friendly work environmentFlexible work hoursRegular team-building eventsMentor program for professional developmentReady to grow with us?
