This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including fiber optic splicing, network installation, and telecommunication equipment setup, supporting the seamless operation of critical communication networks.\nResponsibilities\nInstall, troubleshoot, and repair various cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cables in commercial and residential environments.\nRead and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installation tasks.\nConduct network installations\nUtilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform cable pulling, termination, testing, and equipment repair.\nTest electrical circuits using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify faults or performance issues.\nProvide exceptional customer service by explaining technical solutions clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service visits.\nMaintain detailed documentation of work performed, including diagrams, test results, and service reports.\nAdhere to safety protocols and electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during all installation activities.\nAssist in the setup of data centers or telecommunication rooms by installing low voltage wiring and related hardware.\nQualifications\nProven experience as a service technician or cable technician within telecommunications or IT industries.\nStrong knowledge of computer hardware, networking protocols (LAN/WAN), Ethernet standards (Cat5/Cat6), and telecommunication systems such as Avaya or VoIP.\nHands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and equipment.\nFamiliarity with schematics, electrical wiring practices, NEC compliance, and low voltage cabling standards.\nProficiency in using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.\nAbility to operate power tools safely while performing cable installation or equipment repair tasks.\nExcellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.\nPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights if necessary, and perform manual labor in various environments.
