The successful candidate will produce mechanical designs and drawings, coordinate multidisciplinary models using BIM tools, and ensure systems meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements. This role balances hands-on technical work with project coordination and stakeholder communication to deliver reliable, code-compliant mechanical systems on time and within budget.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop mechanical system designs including HVAC, plumbing, piping, process utilities and equipment layouts for semiconductor, manufacturing and healthcare projects.\nProduce construction drawings, details and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit; prepare as-built documentation and revisions.\nCoordinate 3D models and clash detection using Navisworks; work with architects, structural and electrical engineers to resolve design conflicts.\nSize and specify piping systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers and ancillary equipment; prepare piping isometrics and material takeoffs.\nSupport procurement and vendor evaluation by preparing specifications, reviewing submittals and coordinating factory acceptance when required.\nParticipate in site construction activities including installation oversight, field inspections, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.\nEnsure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and client requirements (e.g., ASME, NFPA, IMC, local building codes and industry-specific regulations for healthcare and semiconductor facilities).\nPerform calculations, load analyses and energy modeling to optimize system performance and efficiency.\nProvide technical support to operations and maintenance teams, develop O&M manuals and deliver training for facility staff.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, implement best practices for design standardization, constructability and cost control.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.\n5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building, manufacturing or semiconductor industries; experience with healthcare facilities is a strong plus.\nProven proficiency with Navisworks, Revit and AutoCAD for modeling, coordination and drafting.\nSolid experience in piping design, equipment selection and fluid system calculations.\nFamiliarity with semiconductor facility systems (process utilities, ultra-pure water, cleanrooms) and manufacturing facility requirements.\nWorking knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, NFPA, IMC, local codes) and experience ensuring compliance.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients and contractors.\nDetail-oriented problem solver with strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects or priorities.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure preferred; experience with project cost estimating and vendor management is beneficial.\nWillingness to perform site visits and occasional travel to project locations.\n\nBenefits\n\nMedical/Dental/Vision\nHSA/FSA Accounts Available\nLife & AD&D Insurance\nShort-term & Long-term Disability Insurance\n401k (50% match with no cap)\nEmployee Assistance Programs\nHolidays Off\nPTO/Sick Leave\n\n- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
