This will include additional functionality and integration into the university web environment. The application must be deployment ready for the winter 2025 semester and will be used to support the 2025 Senior Design Day, a marquee event for the college.\nResponsibilities*\nResponsibilities include:\nReview and enhance the existing software application\nDevelop new functionalities to support different users (e.g., student, faculty, judges)\nFollow the University's brand identity guidelines visual aspects such as font and color.\nTesting and validation of functionality to ensure accuracy and completeness\nDeployment of the system in January 2025, including the integration into the university environment and user training\nDocumentation and tutorial videos to ensure usability and maintainability of the system\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications*\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area\nExperience in web design and development environments (e.g., DigitalOcean)\nExperience in developing applications to support complex event administration and management (e.g., CECS Senior Design Day, conferences, research showcase)\nAbility to analyze pre-existing software applications and move them to production\nExcellent written communication and organization skills\nHighly detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills\nAbility to follow instructions and adhere to the university's brand identity guidance\nDesired Qualifications*\nExperience with the DigitalOcean development environment\nCECS Senior Design Day experience from a student perspective\nAbility to complete task in a timely and efficient manner\nAbility to collaborate and work well as team\nBackground Screening\nThe University of Michigan conducts background checks on all job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background checks.
