This includes packing completed electrical systems, using hand tools and PIV equipment to perform these tasks to comply with codes and standards of a work cell or area. The Assembler - Robotics will demonstrate proficiency in using blueprints, Manufacturing Tracking System (MTS), On Floor Sheets (OFS), and hand tools required in assembly. The Assembler - Robotics will demonstrate the ability to interact with MTS and Quality by driving continuous improvement through active product resolution, reporting turnbacks and documenting assembly defects or supplier failures. The Assembler - Robotics will participate in daily toolbox meetings and ensure shop floor management elements such as Tier 1, QCPC, 5S, Material Review Board (MRB) and other job duties assigned.\r\nShift: 1st Shift\r\nHours: 6:00AM-4:30PM (Mon-Fri & weekends as needed)\r\nEssential Responsibilities\r\nPerform assembly of mechanical components according to work instructions (MTS) and/or OFS.\r\nUtilize PIV for crating and packing requirements.\r\nPerform basic assembly rework on various assemblies when a defect is identified to resolve the underlying issue.\r\nUtilize shop floor management system to drive Tier 1, 5S, and cross-training principles to promote continuous improvement.\r\nParticipate in required Level I OJT and cross-training on Level II assembly.\r\nPerform other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor or manager.\r\nCritical Skills\r\nBasic reading, writing and math ability.\r\nBasic computer applications and use of product documents to ensure product compliance.\r\nEffective communication skills to drive improvement in defect prevention and flexibility to foster learning all Level 1 products/stations and cell configurations.\r\nAbility to train others in product configurations to drive cross-training and knowledge transfer.\r\nAdditional Skills\r\nAbility to work well with others.\r\nAbility to receive direction and take immediate action.\r\nDesire to work and learn multiple areas of the production environment.\r\nEducation / Certifications\r\nHS Diploma or GED\r\nBasic Qualifications\r\nMinimum Experience: 0-1 year in production assembly\r\nPreferred Experience: 1+ years in manufacturing environment\r\nOtis is An Equal Opportunity Employer.
