Read more.  JOB SUMMARY \nCodeAI is seeking a 6-12 Curriculum Content Developer to design and develop the engaging, effective curriculum teachers need to bring high-quality CS and AI education to students across the U.S. and around the globe. In this role you'll create curriculum content — from single lessons to multi-week progressions — for products that reach hundreds of thousands of 6-12 students every year. You're an experienced curriculum developer with deep CS and AI content knowledge, classroom-honed pedagogical instincts, and a passion for student-centered learning. You're energized by a fast-moving AI landscape and bring curiosity, ownership, and a bias to action to your craft.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nIn this role you will:\nBuild CS & AI Curriculum\n\nDevelop and refine complex 6-12 CS and AI curriculum end to end — from single lessons to multi-week progressions — including curriculum design, on-platform levels, teacher and student resources, and assessments.\nDesign learning experiences that help students deeply understand, use, and critically evaluate AI, staying ahead of a fast-moving AI landscape so curriculum stays current and relevant.\nUse AI tools to accelerate and strengthen your development work while holding a high bar for accuracy and pedagogical quality.\nGround every lesson in research-based, culturally responsive, student-centered pedagogy so the work is engaging and approachable for all students and their teachers.\n\nIterate with Feedback & Data\n\nTreat every iteration as a chance to improve, incorporating feedback from peers, teachers, students, subject-matter experts, and classroom observations.\nAnalyze student engagement and learning metrics to refine content and ensure curriculum meets or exceeds engagement and learning goals.\nCollaborate with and provide feedback to other curriculum developers on the team. \n\nCollaborate & Advance the Field\n\nPartner across functions with professional learning content developers, software engineers, and others on the development of products.\nStay current on CS and AI content, pedagogy, and best practices; share what you learn, present at conferences, and contribute to discussions that advance CS and AI education.\n\nAt the Senior level\n\nTake a lead role in larger and/or more ambiguous curriculum efforts, develop innovations that have cross-team impact, and mentor and review the work of other content developers.\n\nEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS \nWe seek candidates who have:\n\n4-6+ years working in CS and AI education, ideally including recent classroom experience teaching CS and AI\nFluency reading and programming in one or more text-based languages — JavaScript, Python, and/or Java\nStrong knowledge of the CS and AI concepts in the 6-12 grade bands of the CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework\nExperience developing CS and AI curriculum used beyond your own classroom — across multiple districts or at the state level — including designing multi-week sequences with a backward-design approach\nComfort and curiosity using AI tools in your work, and genuine interest in teaching both with and about AI\nA grounding in research-based, culturally responsive, student-centered pedagogy, and the ability to turn it into engaging learning experiences that adapt across a variety of learners and teaching environments\nThe ability to analyze and synthesize feedback and data from a variety of sources and use it to refine curriculum\nA track record of managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality content on time and within scope, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment\nStrong collaboration and written and verbal communication skills\nFamiliarity with CodeAI curriculum and/or other CS education products\nPassion for CS and AI education and the CodeAI mission\n\nWe prefer candidates who also have:\n\nExperience developing AI-focused curriculum or learning products\nExperience developing or delivering online learning experiences for grades 6-12\n\nIn addition, candidates must:\n\nBe a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident\nWork within the continental United States\nPass a pre-employment background check\nBe willing to travel a minimum of two times per year for team events \n\nOUR CULTURAL PRINCIPLES\nThe way we work matters as much as the work itself.
