The successful candidate will join our highly talented engineering team in Temecula, Ca.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nDesign mechanical components and fixtures with very tight tolerances in support of sub-micron precision pick & place tools, optical alignment tools and optical test sets.\nDesign and build components, fixtures and test stations in test requiring precision temperature control\nMechanical design targeting highly constrained size and weight components\nCreate detailed 3D drawings of high precision components in SolidWorks that enhance capabilities of existing manufacturing, test and burn-in tools\nRecommend materials selection for the machined parts\nRapid creation of prototype parts\nMechanical assembly and prove-in of new fixtures and tools\nCollaborate with local and overseas machine shops for parts fabrication\nRequirements:\nEducation:\nBachelors or higher degree in mechanical engineering\nExperience:\nMinimum 10+ years of experience designing & testing high precision fixtures and tools\n5+ years of experience in SolidWorks\nFamiliar with fiber optics products and working with optical fibers\nExperience in sub-micron optical alignment of lasers and fibers\nExperience with wide range of epoxies\nThorough understanding of materials and their effects on component performance\nThis is a lead role and requires someone who is highly motivated and a team-player.
