You will have great opportunities to grow as ATG continues to expand, integrate, and build new products.\nBy giving millions of items second, third, and even infinite lives, we are accelerating the growth of the circular economy and creating a new global channel of sustainable commerce.\nKey Responsibilities What you will be doing:\nLead design and delivery of new features and systems, from technical approach through production.\nSet and raise the bar for code quality, architecture, and engineering patterns; model those standards in your own work.\nGuide technical decision-making with clear trade-offs, so the team can move with confidence.\nCollaborate early with teammates and stakeholders to shape scope, stories, and acceptance criteria.\nMultiply the team’s impact by mentoring, pairing, and unblocking less senior engineers.\nReview code and designs with an eye toward teaching, consistency, and long-term maintainability—not only correctness.\nChampion automated testing, observability, and operational ownership so work stays healthy in production.\nDocument and communicate technical direction, decisions, and lessons learned across the team.\nHelp drive Kubernetes, CI/CD, and related platform improvements that make the whole team faster and safer.\nHelp team adopt AI SDLC\nKey Requirements What will you bring to the team:\n\nA force-multiplier mindset: you raise the quality of the work around you, not only the work you ship yourself.\nCollaboration, curiosity, and practical innovation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.\nThe ability to prioritize, context-switch, and stay focused in a demanding environment.\nClear verbal and written communication, including the ability to present technical recommendations to engineering leaders and influence decisions.\n\nWhat you need for success:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.\n5+ years of software development experience.\nProficiency in one or more server-side languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP).\nComfort working in a GNU Linux/Unix environment.\nFamiliarity with one or more relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres) and solid knowledge of SQL.\nClient-side application development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.\nExperience building for different audiences (e.g. internationalization, accessibility).\nInterest in learning new technologies, including AI-assisted / prompt-driven development, and new languages as needed.\nA customer-focused approach.\nExpert debugging skills, with the ability to help others diagnose and resolve issues.\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with Python\nExperience with MySQL and Elasticsearch\nExperience with React and TypeScript\nExperience with Kubernetes\nExperience with AWS\nMobile development experience.\nE-commerce experience.\n\nAuction Technology Group is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.\n\nThe base pay for this role goes up to $205,000 Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
