ITOM Practice Lead

Role: CMDB / CSDM Architect – Practice LeadLocation: Bay Area, CA preferred / Remote (Must support PST hours)Duration: Long-term ContractStart Date: ImmediateWe are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow CMDB / CSDM Architect with strong ITOM practice leadership and Configuration Management governance experience to support a large enterprise platform team.This role requires a hands-on leader who can assess, stabilize, and mature an enterprise CMDB environment while driving governance, data quality, and organizational alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.Key Responsibilities:• Own and govern enterprise CMDB and CSDM strategy• Lead Configuration Management process maturity initiatives• Assess existing CMDB health, identify foundational gaps, and drive remediation efforts• Define and manage CMDB data quality KPIs and governance standards• Oversee Discovery, Service Mapping, and third-party data integrations• Ensure CMDB supports accurate executive reporting and enterprise decision-making• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across a matrix organization• Drive organizational adoption and governance best practices• Work closely with platform leadership on strategic architecture decisionsRequired Skills & Experience:• Strong ServiceNow ITOM expertise including CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, and Service Mapping• Proven experience leading CMDB governance and Configuration Management programs• Experience managing enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments• Strong understanding of CMDB health, data integrity, reconciliation, and governance models• Ability to provide direct, confident recommendations and lead enterprise discussions• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills• ITIL experience required• Ability to work flexible hours across global teams• Strong hands-on architecture and governance experience is requiredCertifications Required:• ServiceNow CIS – Discovery• ServiceNow CIS – Service Mapping• Additional CIS certifications within ITOM/CMDB are highly preferredPreferred:• Prior experience in Practice Lead or Governance leadership roles• Bay Area, CA candidates preferredIf interested, please share your updated resume along with availability and contact details.
