This includes set-up, operate, adjust, troubleshoot, maintain and perform minor repairs as set forth by daily production schedules. Ensure all products are running to product specifications and that they meet quality standards. Ensure all associated paperwork and/or computer reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Diagnose and correct electrical and mechanical problems on packaging lines. Originate work orders and follow up on repairs\nROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform first piece inspections.\nVerify product, fill, and maintain product levels in machines\nSet up, operate, adjust, troubleshoot, maintain and perform repairs on automated packaging equipment.\nSweep department floors and clean machinery.\nPerform any and all other duties as instructed in the manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures\nNotify supervisor of production problems, maintenance requirements, and safety hazards\nNotify supervisor and QA auditor of quality issues\nPerform inventories and all other duties as assigned\nParticipate in planned maintenance activities\nWorks towards improvements for process efficiencies\nWork in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized processes\nPerform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.\nTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)\nMust be able to read, write and understand English\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training in field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)\nThe employee may be frequently expose to fumes or airborne particles\nThe employee may be exposed to confined spaces while working on machines\nThe employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time.\nThe employee may be required to stand, sit, crouch, walk and bend/conform in uncomfortable positions for varying periods of time\nWill be required to use vision including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus\nOccasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nDISCLAIMER\nThis job description indicates in general terms, the type and level of work performed as well as the typical responsibilities of employees in this classification and it may be changed by management at any time.
