The position represents Germfree in customer-facing environments and requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently in the field.\nKey Responsibilities Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Repair Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections on Germfree equipment, mobile laboratories, and modular facilities.\nDiagnose airflow, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and control system failures and perform minor repairs or replacements.\nCoordinate complex repairs with engineering, vendors, or licensed specialists.\nRequisition parts, manage service supplies, and support shipping logistics.\nDecontaminate laboratories and prepare equipment for service or relocation.\n\nField Operations and Customer Support Respond to customer maintenance and repair requests and determine corrective actions.\nPrioritize workload based on maintenance schedules and service urgency.\nCommunicate certification results, service findings, and corrective action recommendations to customers.\nTrain clients on equipment operation, maintenance, and compliance expectations.\nTravel extensively, including potential international assignments.\n\nAdministrative, Reporting, and Systems Use Prepare service reports, expense reports, and certification documentation.\nUtilize laboratory and service software platforms, including RC Reporter and remote support tools.\nMaintain effective communication with internal departments and customers.\nAssist with cross-departmental projects and operational initiatives as needed.\n\nRequired Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.\nMechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nProfessional communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.\nPreferred Qualifications - (Not required) NSF 49 Accredited Field Certifier, NEBB cleanroom certification, or related credentials.\nExperience with cleanrooms, HEPA filtration systems, mobile cleanrooms, pharmacy trailers, or isolator technologies.\nOSHA safety training and laboratory maintenance experience.\nFamiliarity with regulatory standards, including NSF 49, USP / , ISO 14644, and IEST practices.\nTechnical Skills Proficiency with anemometers, photometers, aerosol generators, particle counters, and pressure measurement devices.\nAbility to interpret airflow schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.\nCompetent with Microsoft Office applications and service software systems.\nPhysical Requirements Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs or more and work on ladders or elevated platforms.\nCapability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined or variable-temperature environments.\nAbility to wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary.\nHospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, manufacturing facilities, and mobile laboratory environments.\nExposure to controlled environments and hazardous drug handling areas.\nFrequent regional, national, and occasional international travel with overnight stays.\nWhyYou’ll Love Germfree Germfree is committed to employee well‑being, growth, and work‑life balance.
