You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.The On-Site Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist is responsible for managing inventory operations directly within a customer's facility. This role ensures accurate stock levels, timely replenishment, and exceptional customer service by working hands on in the customer’s supply room.Hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m (8-hour shift).Primary responsibilities:Work onsite in the customers inventory supply room to oversee and execute all Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) systems. Conduct daily inventory checks to verify stock accuracy, identify shortages, and maintain product availabilityWrite and process replenishment orders to ensure timely restocking and alignment with customer demand. Stock, organize and maintain inventory within the supply room for efficient access and workflowCollaborate with onsite contractors to provide quotes, fulfill orders, and respond to immediate product needsDelivery personalized customer service through prompt communication, accurate order processing, and professional supportPerform driver related duties as needed, which may include transporting materialsQualifications:Experience in inventory managements, supply chain, warehouse operations or related fields preferredMust be at least 18 years oldValid state issued driver's license requiredProvide responsive, courteous and solution orientated support to onsite personnel and contactorsClearly conveys information in person and in writing, ensuring accurate order processing and effective collaborationStrong organizational skills with high attention to detailPrecision in counting, tracking and documenting inventory to ensure reliable stock levelsIdentifies issues such as stock shortages or urgent product needs and takes proactive steps to resolve themComfortable using inventory systems, order entry tools and basic computer applications to manage VMI processesAbility to work independently on siteAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
