Line Cook
*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment. *Duties* - Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. - Assist in menu planning, offering creative ideas for seasonal dishes and specials. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service during peak hours. - Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. - Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. - Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs and preferences of guests. *Experience* - Previous experience as a cook in a fine dining or high-volume food service environment is preferred. - Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. - Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated during shifts. - Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure. - A passion for culinary arts and continuous improvement in cooking skills is highly desirable.
