This role works at the intersection of design and manufacturing, partnering with engineering and production teams to develop efficient, repeatable processes for building high-performance electrical and electromechanical systems.\n\nThe Electrical Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in new product introduction, production support, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Products may include electronic assemblies, control systems, wiring harnesses, test equipment, and other advanced technologies supporting both commercial and military applications.\n\nThis position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technologies in a hands‑on manufacturing environment where engineers have direct visibility into the products they help bring to life.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, implement, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for electrical and electromechanical products.\n\nCollaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, product quality, and production readiness.\n\nReview electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and assembly documentation.\n\nSupport new product introductions from prototype through production.\n\nDesign, develop, and implement manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and test equipment.\n\nCreate and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, travelers, and test procedures.\n\nSupport production activities by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.\n\nAnalyze production workflows and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, throughput, and cost.\n\nWork closely with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.\n\nParticipate in root cause investigations, continuous improvement projects, and process validation activities.\n\nSupport manufacturing readiness reviews and production planning efforts.\n\nEnsure manufacturing processes meet applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering\n\nMinimum GPA of 3.3 for all completed degrees\n\nExperience with electrical or electromechanical manufacturing environments.\n\nFamiliarity with electronic assemblies, wiring harnesses, control panels, PCB assemblies, or electrical testing.\n\nUnderstanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.\n\nExperience creating or supporting manufacturing documentation and work instructions.\n\nKnowledge of manufacturing process development, production support, and continuous improvement methodologies.\n\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nU.S. Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulations.\n\nMainstream Engineering Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
