This role involves designing and programming PLC, OIT, and SCADA applications based on engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate and efficient system functionality. The position includes responsibilities for bench and panel testing to validate performance against project requirements, as well as assisting with on‑site startup and troubleshooting. This is an excellent opportunity to apply technical expertise in a hands‑on, collaborative environment while contributing to critical infrastructure projects.\n\nWhat you will do:\n\nWrite PLC and SCADA operating programs based upon control specification and/or Tesco standards to assure safe, reliable and optimal equipment operation\n\nWrite (publish) concise operating instructions detailing; control parameters and their effects under normal and failure conditions\n\nProvide technical assistance (phone or job‑site) to verify and/or modify PLC/SCADA programs\n\nWork with various departments internally, along with consulting engineers, customers and end‑users to assure proper programming for the system layouts and designs\n\nAnalyze and interpret existing programs and documentation for project modifications\n\nEnsure assignments and work schedules follow policy and procedures\n\nCommunicate effectively to a wide range of internal and external contacts\n\nSupport multiple smaller scaled projects\n\nProvide weekly content and job status reports used with scheduling tools\n\nExecute successful unassisted start‑ups of complex sites\n\nDemonstrates ability to perform technical leadership role on projects\n\nAssigned to perform quality checks for projects engineered by peers\n\nAbility to conduct customer facing workshops and trainings\n\nAll other duties assigned\n\nDemonstrated Skills:\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nExcellent attention to detail\n\nHigh level of organizational and time management skills\n\nFamiliarity with industrial automation programming best practices\n\nEducation & Knowledge:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Engineering, related field\n\nBasic knowledge of ladder logic and structured text programming\n\nBasic knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Java\n\nBasic understanding of computer operations, Microsoft Office\n\nWorking knowledge of instruments and electro‑mechanical devices used for process control\n\nExperience:\n\nPreferred 2 years of experience\n\nRequired:\n\nDaily travel\n\n$44.23 - $64.90 an hour\n\nPay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person’s qualifications.
