The Process Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Sales to identify opportunities, implement sustainable improvements, and support the successful execution of business-critical projects.\r\nThe successful candidate will combine strong engineering and analytical skills with practical project management experience to drive operational performance and support innovation across IPS facilities.\r\nProcess Engineering & Continuous ImprovementAnalyze existing repair, manufacturing, testing, and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.\r\nDevelop and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, throughput, and operational effectiveness.\r\nLead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.\r\nDevelop standardised work instructions, process documentation, and best practices.\r\nMonitor operational KPIs and identify trends impacting performance.\r\nLead root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to quality, process, and production issues.\r\nCollaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to improve repair methods and testing processes.\r\nEvaluate workflow, facility layout, tooling, and equipment utilisation to improve productivity.\r\nSupport automation and digital transformation initiatives where applicable.\r\nAssist in capacity planning, resource optimisation, and operational strategy development.\r\nDrive inventory optimisation and process controls to improve material flow.\r\nEngineering & Capability DevelopmentLead initiatives that expand IPS's Industrial Repair and Renewable Energy repair capabilities.\r\nSupporting new repair capability development and implementation.\r\nAssisting with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.\r\nSupporting pilot repair programmes and proof-of-concept projects.\r\nAssisting with technology transfer initiatives between IPS locations.\r\nDeveloping process validation plans and implementation strategies.\r\nSupporting capital equipment acquisition, installation, and commissioning projects.\r\nEvaluating and improving laboratory and test area operations.\r\nSupporting inventory improvement and hardware surplus reduction initiatives.\r\nProject ManagementEnsure projects follow SMART principles (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound).\r\nDevelop project plans, schedules, milestones, and implementation activities.\r\nCoordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.\r\nMonitor project progress against scope, schedule, quality, and cost requirements.\r\nLead project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.\r\nIdentify project risks and implement mitigation plans.\r\nSupport customer-driven engineering and operational improvement projects.\r\nEnsure all projects align with IPS quality, safety, and business objectives.\r\nQualifications RequiredBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or related technical discipline.\r\nMinimum five (5) years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement.\r\nDemonstrated experience improving operational, manufacturing, repair, or service processes.\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.\r\nExperience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives.\r\nExperience with ERP systems and operational reporting.\r\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.\r\nNice To HavesExperience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.\r\nValid driver's licence with the ability to travel between local facilities.\r\nLean Manufacturing Certification.\r\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.\r\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\r\nExperience with technology transfer activities.\r\nExperience in industrial repair, power systems, rotating equipment, electronics, or renewable energy industries.\r\nExperience with capital equipment implementation and facility improvement projects.\r\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\r\nProductivity and throughput improvements.\r\nReduction in process cycle times.\r\nQuality and first-pass yield improvements.\r\nCost reduction and efficiency gains.\r\nSuccessful completion of improvement initiatives.\r\nInventory accuracy and reduction of excess inventory.\r\nStandardisation and process compliance metrics.\r\nTravel RequirementsAbility to travel up to 25% of the time to other IPS locations throughout the United States.\r\nTravel may include visits of up to one (1) week per month, depending on project requirements, technology transfer activities, engineering support, and new product introduction initiatives.\r\nValid passport and ability
