The candidate will split the 4 days in the office between BOC, Midtown, and Lake Kathy as they will be working with project teams at various locations (co-located teams).\r\n40 hours per week (Flexible). OT possible but unusual.\r\n30-min video interview will be required over Teams and the candidate will be invited to an onsite in-person interview.\r\nParticipate as a Database Administrator as part of a team of five DBAs and several contract DBAs supporting the enterprise-wide database landscape. Be involved in database projects and operational support.\r\nScope of Services\r\nParticipate as a Database Administrator as part of a team of five DBAs and several contract DBAs supporting the enterprise-wide database landscape. Be involved in database projects and operational support.\r\nAssist project teams in choosing appropriate Database Architectures that fit the business requirements while aligning with IT Standards and Procedures.\r\nResponsible for creating reference architectures for the IT and business teams to review and approve. Document changes to the environment and communicate effectively with the database team.\r\nWork with the IT Database team in database creation of a database Cloud strategy and migration from on-prem to the cloud where advantageous.\r\nStrong documentation, communication and critical thinking skills are required.\r\nInteract with in-house developers and end users as well as other contract resources.\r\nMay be asked to work on-call hours.\r\nKnowledge and Concepts\r\nSQL Server\r\nOracle\r\nPostgreSQL (not required)\r\nCloud (Azure, AWS plus)\r\nPowershell (plus)\r\nIaC – Cloud ARM or Bicep knowledge (plus)\r\nETL\r\nData Factory / SSIS\r\nData Warehousing (Snowflake a plus)\r\nHigh Availability\r\nDisaster Recovery\r\nReplication\r\nGeneral Database Architectures\r\nResponsibilities\r\nResponsible for building new or modifying existing database systems by producing the prescribed deliverables.\r\nResponsible for developing and implementing database cloud strategy.\r\nResponsible for migration from local backups to NetBackup as part of a DBA team goal.\r\nWork with technical business teams and integrators as part of the ADI portfolio initiative.\r\nMentor DBA team members.\r\nExperience required: average 10 years.\r\nMay be asked to work on-call hour.\r\nBehavior Characteristics\r\nStrong communication skills.
