Club Accounting Specialist

SUMMARYThe Club Accounting Specialist supports the Club Controller with weekly financial analysis and reporting, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing activities for two golf clubs in Chandler, Arizona. This role is full-time and on-site. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIREDBachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance is preferredMinimum of 2 years of relevant accounting or operational accounting experienceStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with some advanced Excel skills required (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentCustomer service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detailExperience in hospitality, club or multi-location accounting environments preferredESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Club Controller with preparation of weekly and monthly financial reporting packagesSupport cash flow forecasting, reporting, and other accounting functions as neededResearch and help resolve account variancesReconcile accounts payable statementsAssist with accounts payable processing and related functionsDevelop working knowledge of all accounting systems used by the company, including:JONAS Club Management POS and Accounting SoftwareQuadient AP by BeanworksPHYSICAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTSAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamAbility to manage multiple tasks and follow up on outstanding issues in a timely mannerAbility to work at a computer for extended periods while performing job dutiesAbility to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds
