Also takes guest orders, delivers food, and maintains the bar seating area by bussing and cleaning. Additionally, a bartender is responsible for the billing and payment processing of the Guests that they serve.This role pays an hourly rate of $8.00 and is tip-eligibleBenefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matchingThis position will remain open until May 22, 2026.ResponsibilitiesGreets guests in a friendly professional mannerProvide education about Chickie's style of service, the food and beverage menus, how menu items are prepared, the ingredients used, and the different cooking methodsSmile and maintain a positive attitude at all timesFollow all Chickie's & Pete's service standards including upselling and suggestive sellingInform Guests of daily drink & food specialsPrepare garnishes for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beveragesWash and sterilize glasswareReceive and serve food orders to guests seated at the barCheck identification to ensure that guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beveragesRefuse/cut off service to patrons who appear to be intoxicatedReceive guest payments and process transactionsRespond appropriately to guest complaints and bring any issues to the attention of a managerPerform marketing and other promotional services as neededMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar: counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, storage areas, and empty trash cansReport all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the General ManagerAssist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and suppliesThank guests for their visit, inform them of upcoming events and invite them to returnUnderstand the importance of speed of service and act with sense of urgency when performing job tasksAttend all scheduled employee meetingsAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as needed by management Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Must be 18 or over.1-2 years or more experience bartendingPrevious cash handling experience preferred.Ability to learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system accurately.Possess valid food handling certificate and RAMP certification if required by state and federal regulations (or be willing to obtain one within a 60 day time-frame from date of hire).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, management staff, volunteers and guests.Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays and long hours.Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
