for legacy coexistence, auth bridge, JWT-based access, and phased cutover patterns.Support discovery and rule extraction from legacy Perl logic, database usage, integrations, and access controls.Partner with DevOps and engineering leads on deployment, rollout, rollback, and production readiness.Required Skills And ExperienceStrong backend architecture using Python / FastAPI or equivalent modern API frameworks.API governance, authentication and authorization design, integration patterns, observability, and cloud-native delivery.Experience with strangler-fig modernization, legacy decomposition, and high-availability service design.Comfort working across data, security, DevOps, and performance engineering concerns.Experience profile: 10+ years in solution architecture or lead engineering roles, including modernization of legacy or monolithic platforms.Project-specific deliverables / success measuresTarget architecture and design decisionsAPI standards, integration
