Must be able to describe our wines, winemaking technique, our commitment to a circular economy, and an overview of our history.\r\nUnder general supervision, you'll work as part of a team to support tasting room operations in a manner that achieves the established financial goals, ensures exceptional customer service, and help build consumer loyalty and reflects the brand essence.\r\nDuties\r\nHost wine tastings\r\nPrepare the tasting room for opening and closing\r\nDescribe wines, winemaking, circular economy, and winery history\r\nEngage the customers through attentive listening and story telling\r\nProcess orders through POS system and handheld devicesManage wine pours throughout the shift\r\nBe proactive in getting customer information, promoting the wine club and selling wine\r\nHelp to keep the tasting room clean throughout the shift, including parking area, patio,\r\nBOH and bathrooms\r\nKnowledgeable of food menu and daily specials\r\nKnowledge of all tasting menus, wine bottles, and wine club levels\r\nCommunicate customer service issues with your manager\r\nAssist with events as needed including setting up and breaking down\r\nAssist with off-site pouring events as needed by management\r\nAccurate entry of wine clubs into our system\r\nWash and polish stemware\r\nCollaborate with Co-workers to provide superior guest experience\r\nPerform other duties as requested by management\r\nAbout you\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\r\n1 year experience in the hospitality industry\r\nPassionate about wine\r\nStrong sales and wine club conversion skills\r\nClean, professional appearance\r\nAbility to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as requested by management\r\nMust be able to lift 50 lbs.
