Senior Maintenance Technician

Summary Mueller is one of the nation's most recognized master-planned communities-designed around sustainability, connectivity, and long-term livability. We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform and lead advanced maintenance activities across community assets, facilities, and infrastructure. This role is responsible for executing and supporting preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing day-to-day leadership to maintenance staff and contractors to ensure high standards of safety, functionality, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced maintenance and repair across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facilitiesDevelop, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure and extend asset lifeLead and support maintenance staff, providing direction, training, and oversight of daily workTroubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues using sound judgment and technical expertiseCoordinate and oversee contractors and vendors, including scheduling, materials, and quality controlEstimate time, materials, and scope for maintenance and repair projectsConduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and risksEnsure maintenance activities are completed in alignment with schedules, standards, and safety requirementsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairsSupport emergency response and on-call maintenance needs as required Leadership & AttributesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead work and provide direction to othersReliable, accountable, and self-directedClear communication and coordination with team members and vendorsAbility to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality Knowledge & Experience Required:High school diploma or equivalent5+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or lead roleStrong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electricalExperience using hand and power tools safely and effectivelyExperience performing preventive and corrective maintenanceAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred:Technical degree or certification in HVAC, electrical, construction, or related tradeExperience in a large-scale community, commercial property, or similar environmentFamiliarity with work order or maintenance tracking systems Work Environment Combination of indoor and outdoor work, including exposure to weather conditionsRegular physical activity including walking, lifting, and equipment useMay require evenings, weekends, or emergency response Job Type: Full-time Salary: $24 to $28.85 per hour, based on experience Benefits: 401(k)Dental InsuranceHealth InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time Off Cohere is an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
