They provide specialized technical services to varied audiences for the solution of design and application problems.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\nProvide guidance and technical information to end users, distributors, and sales personnel\nDevelop content such as case studies, articles, and cost savings documentation to show the overall value of Garlock products\nProvide product training to internal and external teams as needed\nUnderstand the competitive landscape by being aware of new product developments, applications, and markets\nAnalyze field samples to identify the root cause of field failures and understand pervasive market problems\nTranslate market insights to enhance both the commercial pipeline of new products and marketing campaigns for existing products\nDevelop and deploy buyer enablement tools to help customers select our products\nCollaborate with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain on Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) attributes based on market insights\nUnderstand and actively participate in our digital strategy through the development of technical information on the Garlock website.\nPrimarily support the Klozure product line and can back up and support other product lines as needed.\nWork with our engineering team to develop and execute new product enhancements and competitive testing.\nProactively specify target products within sales campaigns to increase our brand awareness and specification in the market.\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\n\nEffective Communication – Develops and delivers multi-modal communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.\nCollaborates – Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives in a timely manner and support the business.\nCustomer Focus – Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.\nInterpersonal Savvy – Relates openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.\nAction Oriented – Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.\n\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nBS degree in Engineering technology, or AAS with 3+ years of applications related experience or equivalent experience/knowledge.\nComputer Skills: Excel required; CAD experience preferred.\nOrganizational and communication Skills\nExperience in applications engineering and engineering procedures is a plus.\nPresentation skills are a plus\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Office Environment\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Bonus, gainshare, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
