This individual will play a critical role in driving quality initiatives, optimizing staffing and operations, and fostering a culture rooted in safety, accountability, and compassionate care.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Operational LeadershipProvide leadership and oversight of all nursing operations within the facilityEnsure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care across all unitsMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policiesStep in to lead nursing operations in the absence of senior nursing leadershipQuality & Patient ExperienceDrive initiatives that improve patient outcomes and overall care qualityEnsure patients' physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs are consistently metAddress and resolve patient care concerns and service issuesStaff Leadership & DevelopmentLead recruitment, training, development, and performance management of nursing staffIdentify training needs and implement ongoing educational programsFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvementOperations & Resource ManagementAssist with budget management and resource allocationEvaluate staffing models and patient acuity to ensure appropriate coverageSupport efficient daily operations of nursing servicesCompliance & DocumentationEnsure all clinical documentation meets regulatory and organizational standardsSupport development and implementation of policies and proceduresOversee incident investigations and participate in quality and safety committeesAdditional ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care as neededParticipate in committees and organizational initiativesSupport crisis intervention and incident responseQualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferredActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practiceMinimum 2+ years of RN experience required5+ years of RN experience preferredPrior leadership or management experience requiredExperience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or addiction treatment settings requiredPreferred BackgroundPrior nursing leadership experience in an inpatient psychiatric settingExperience in a unionized healthcare environment is a strong plusCertificationsCurrent RN license (required)CPR certification (required)De-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire)First Aid (as required by facility or state)
