Job Description Job Title: Occupational TherapistLocation: Norfolk, VASalary: $39-44 per hourSchedule: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekend rotationFacility: 220-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and Long Term Care facilityAbout the Facility:Our facility is located just minutes from downtown Norfolk and a short 10 minute drive to the beach and ocean. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where our team members are dedicated to providing high-quality care to our residents.Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility and Long Term Care setting to help them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. You will assess patients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their goals.Responsibilities:Conduct patient evaluations to determine their physical and cognitive abilities, limitations, and goalsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goalsProvide therapeutic interventions, exercises, and activities to help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and daily living skillsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patientsMonitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as neededEducate patients and their families on how to continue their progress and maintain their independence after leaving our facilityQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programCurrent state license as an Occupational TherapistMinimum of 1 year of experience in a SNF or long term care setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCompassionate and patient-centered approach to careBenefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysContinuing education opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environment
