Noble supports more than 31,000 alumni, with 99% of Noble students accepted into college and historically almost 90% choosing to enroll.Role OverviewThe Manager of Adult Learning and Development plays a critical role in executing high-impact initiatives that strengthen staff experience, support charter renewal priorities, and ensure strong progress toward Noble’s adult learning and licensure goals.Reporting to the Director of Adult Learning and Development, this role is responsible for turning strategy into execution: leading complex projects, building strong operational systems, and ensuring Adult learning and licensure efforts run effectively at scale, with the core responsibilities leaning into managing our licensure execution.This role sits at the center of project management, systems, and execution excellence, ensuring our adult learning and licensure work is not only well-designed, but consistently delivered with quality, clarity, and impact.Core ResponsibilitiesThe Manager of Adult Learning & Development supports the execution of Noble’s adult learning strategy by ensuring programs and experiences are high-quality, aligned, and impactful. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead Execution of High-Impact InitiativesProject manage large-scale initiatives tied to adult learning, licensure, and charter renewal prioritiesEnsure projects are clearly scoped, on track, and delivering against defined outcomesOperationalize/Manage Licensure Projects + StrategyExecute key components of Noble’s licensure strategy, including tracking the Teacher PEL requirement, SPED licensure goals, and our differentiated ML endorsed goalsManage systems, processes, and partnerships that support staff enrollment, progress, and completionAudit and Strengthen Adult Learning SystemsConduct regular audits of adult learning programs to ensure alignment to strategy and quality standardsIdentify gaps and drive improvements to strengthen coherence, access, and effectivenessOwn Data Systems and ReportingMaintain and at times build systems that track adult learning and licensure data, including our centralized development survey and systems to track impactDeliver clear, actionable reporting that supports decision-making across the People Team, Academic Teams, and school leadersCoordinate Logistics and Operational ExcellenceEnsure all logistics for centrally owned PD (facilities, materials, scheduling, communication) are seamlessAnticipate and solve operational challenges to deliver strong, consistent staff experiencesDrive Consistency and Quality Across ProgramsProvide tools, templates, and support to ensure learning experiences meet Noble’s quality barPartner across teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and strong execution of different PD spaces and Affinity GroupsKey Goals: (Within First Year of this New Role)Licensure systems are clear, accurate, and actively impacting our licensure goals and sustainabilityLead our work for a “center of excellence” that can house all vetted PDAdult learning programs are audited, aligned, and show measurable improvement in quality, impact to role, and participationData systems and dashboards provide real-time, actionable insights for leadersPD experiences are consistently well-executed, with strong staff feedback and minimal operational gapsCross-functional projects are delivered on time, with clear ownership and strong follow-throughEnsure new and existing management development programs (e.g., Diverse Leaders Fellowship, Management Accelerator, Director Development Series) are aligned, integrated, and part of a cohesive learning pathway, rooted in our Leadership and Management frameworks, core values and NIF. Key Metrics:ML Licensure (% licensed against needed)SPED Licensure (% licensed against needed)PEL Licensure (% licensed)Exit Survey for PD OpportunitiesRole Impact from PD Opportunities Usage of our Center of ExcellenceQualificationsEducation & Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree required; preference for candidates with experience in education, adult learning, or program managementMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in program management, professional development, or a related field. Preferred: deep understanding of adult learning and professional development Key Competencies & SkillsProgram Management & Execution: Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure high-quality executionAdult Learning Orientation: Understanding of adult learning principles and experience supporting training or development initiativesData-Informed Practice: Ability to track and interpret program data to inform improvementsCollaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams, with multiple leaders and stakeholdersAttention to Detail: Ability to ensure consistency, quality, and follow-through across programsCultural Competence & Inclusion: Ability to support inclusive learning environments that reflect Noble’s valuesCompensationWe strive to be among the best places to work in education, and our employee benefits are thoughtfully designed to support us in this ambition. Compensation for this position typically falls between $75,000 and $95,000 per year, which represents the average for staff in this role.
