Works with staff, volunteers, members, chapters, and other internal\nand external stakeholders to achieve engagement goals at the national, state, and local levels.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n.\nPlans, organizes, and implements assigned projects in collaboration with internal and external\nstakeholders.\nEstablishes a presence for the organization in targeted communities by engaging multicultural\naudiences, developing community partnerships, building volunteer capacity, and designing\nand executing engaging community programs and events. Develops and manages\nrelationships with third-party contacts including program participants, vendors, program\npartners, and others.\nAligns volunteer and partner interests with organizational priorities, supports volunteer/partner\nneeds, and designs opportunities to maximize volunteer engagement in pursuit of the\norganization's goals. Collaborates on administration of volunteer programs or volunteer\nstrategy. Participates in recruiting, managing, and training volunteers when necessary.\nUses and analyzes data (program, financial, research, etc.) to recommend program and\nprocess improvements and monitor impact. Prepares data and reports to various stakeholders.\nExecutes on business/program operations tasks as necessary for the business unit including\nresearch, report writing, and/or creating presentations.\nContributes to tracking and reporting of strategic plan strategies and action plans. Assists in\ndeveloping and implementing new solutions.\nAssists with the management of program budgets and assets\n\nQualifications:\n\nCompletion of a Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public administration, political science, public policy, or related discipline, and a minimum of 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training, including Military and/or related experience to the duties of the position.\nSome knowledge and understanding of the state and local political, social, and human services environment is preferred.\nComfortable working with a diverse staff and volunteers.\nSkilled in Microsoft 365 software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.\nExperience developing social media content, applying AI-enabled tools to enhance business processes, support project execution, improve operational effectiveness, and develop effective communications and engagement content.\nAARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.\n\nAdditional Requirements\nRegular and reliable job attendance.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nExhibits respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships.\nIndependent judgement and discretion requiring the employee to compare and evaluate various.\ncourses of conduct and make a decision (or recommend a decision be made) after various possibilities\nhave been considered.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\nIn office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise\nHybrid Work Environment\n\nAARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions.
