Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto service management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of the service department, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service quality. Duties Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Supervise and train service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics and repair. Oversee customer interactions to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Implement upselling strategies to promote additional services and products. Conduct auto estimating for repairs and maintenance services. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions through effective service writing. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with sales staff to enhance customer experience and drive business growth. Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies needed for vehicle maintenance and repair. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management. Proficient in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance practices. Experience in upselling services, cash handling, and customer service excellence. Familiarity with various aspects of automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, tire service, air brake systems, alignment, suspension work, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Ability to lead a team of technicians while fostering a positive work environment. Experience in service technician roles is highly desirable.
