This role involves close collaboration with the data modernization teams at ITD and DPH to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives.Skill Sets And Experience IncludeExperience in modernizing legacy applications, which should include refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java - strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework & hibernate technology.Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databasesExperience with DevOps practices and automation toolsSQL - Writing Complex Queries, understanding Database Relationships, debugging and performance tuning ETL tools - Hands-on experience with cloud-based toolUnderstanding data modelingKnowledge / experience using any ETL tools, experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is plus.Must have experience/familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environmentsJob Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To)Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategiesDesign, develop and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systemsDesigning, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines.Analyzing data models and business requirements.Data Validation: Query the database to verify that data is correctly inserted, updated, and deleted by the application, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Design, Create and Execute Test CasesBack-end Testing: Validating back-end logic and data processing that might not be immediately visible through the user interfaceCollaboration: Working closely with developers and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
