Specific role will be a Workover Engineer focused on overseeing the P&A process for wells in the US.\n\nThis role will be primarily responsible for the following:\n\nGenerate cost estimates and AFEs by GL codes associated with planned work scopes\nDevelop step-by-step procedures to achieve specified well objectives safely and efficiently\nProcedures will incorporate engineering controls, provide guidance on well control equipment and practices, and complying with company safety regulations and standards\nProvide Engineering support for multiple workover rigs including procedures, troubleshooting downhole tools, make recommendations during fishing operations\nRecommend and develop processes and guidelines for well workover operations\nConduct historical well review to support procedural recommendations\nEngage with other functions and asset leadership to manage process execution discrepancies & scope changes\nDevelop and monitor KPI reporting of the workover operations with respect to spend, delivery of planned objectives, and scheduling (planned vs actuals)\nManage expenditures and performance relative to AFE’d budgets and communicate variances\nQualifications & Experience\nThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline\nExperience in Engineering with 5+ years E&P company experience in Production, Well Interventions, Operations, or Operations Support\nMinimum of 2 to 3 years of experience developing procedures to workover wells with artificial lift equipment including rod pump, ESP, or gaslift\nWorking knowledge of downhole tools and equipment\nExperience developing Completion design and supervising frac or drillout operations a plus\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nProficient with computer software: Microsoft Suite, Wellview, and Spotfire\nAbility to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours\nCompetencies\nThe successful candidate should demonstrate and exhibit the following core competencies:\nCommunication: Writes, speaks, and presents information effectively and persuasively across communication setting;\nResults: Pursues work with energy, drive, and results orientation to positively impact Apache's business success;\nCollaboration: Works in partnership with others and encourages different perspectives, while building and maintaining trust; and\nCulture: Willingness and ability to align one's behavior with the needs, priorities, and goals of Apache.\nCompany Overview\nOur primary product is energy, and where there is affordable, abundant energy, people are given greater opportunities to elevate their families to higher standards of living.
