Business Development Representative
SummaryThe primary focus of a Business Development Representative (BDR) is the sale of Mobile Up-fitting equipment and installation service to the First Responder entities within the assigned Territory. The BDR will support the assigned DWS service center locations that are set up for Upfitting service. The work environment is fast paced, requiring excellent customer service skills, selling skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously where accuracy and attention to detail is critical. Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesGenerate outbound business development sales calls to prospective customersOutbound calling sales skills are requiredSchedule customer meetings for new business and customer service follow-up.Identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerAnswer any inbound sales calls, email inquiries, and assist customers with their needsManage quotes/orders with correct pricing and product availabilityInitiate sales and provide customers with quotes, offers new customers credit terms, and is the liaison between customers and company credit departments and service teamAbility to work through all levels of public entities from user, management, to procurement. Understanding of government procurement/budgeting process.Attends new product training as neededArticulate the value proposition of our products and services to convert prospects to customersProven success in ability to close new businessAn understanding of radio concepts and a moderate understanding of general wireless technologyFamiliarity with Public Safety/First Responder agenciesWillingness to travel throughout the territory. Overnight trips may be necessary.
