The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nTriage competing grant applications:\n\nSet appropriate work priorities, apply knowledge of organizational needs and deadlines, and follow up to ensure receipt of required documentation (to include uploading documents to the official grant folder).\n\nPerform thorough review of competing grant applications including noting any bars to funding, foreign involvement, summary statement concerns, within specified timeframes including timely issuance of award notices.\n\nPerform administrative analysis including budget concerns; human and animal subject codes and regulatory analyses of grant applications using basic knowledge of applicable NIH grant policies and NHLBI procedures.\n\nFacilitate communication and correspondence including response to inquiries and/or policy and procedural guidance to be sent to grantee’s and Federal Staff; perform as a resource of information providing recommendations for grantee and Federal staff:\n\nRespond to communications (letters, memos, phone calls, e-mails, etc.).\n\nPrepare correspondence which fully and accurately addresses administrative issues (prior approvals) in a clear and concise manner.\n\nCollaborate with program and grantee staff on information required prior to award\n\nParticipate in cooperative effort to accomplish the goals of the Office, Division and Institute:\n\nAssist in OGM supplements\n\nAssist in OGM funding\n\nAssist in OGM portfolio analysis of pending awards\n\nDELIVERABLES. Upon request, the contractor shall provide documentation evidence of any and/or all work products, including, but not limited to:\n\nWork products and documents related to setting appropriate work priorities, applying knowledge of organizational needs and deadlines, and following up to ensure receipt of required documentation;\n\nWork products and documents related to performing analyses of grant applications; researching, evaluating, interpreting and disseminating related regulations, policies and procedures to grantee’s and federal staff.\n\nWork products and documents related to facilitating communication and correspondence; responding to communications and inquiries; preparing correspondence;\n\nWork products and documents related to informing federal task leader and staff of administrative issues and developments related to prior approvals; additional funding documentation required prior to award; work with grantee staff in responding to questions and resolving problems; assist in OGM portfolio analysis through running various reports including pending EOY awards.\n\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nMaster’s degree in business or a related discipline. Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.\n\nFive (5) years of specialized (NIH grants management) experience.\n\nExperience with eRA IMPACII Grants Management Module.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nAbility to interpret and apply appropriate regulations, policies and procedures relating to complex grant issues.\n\nKnowledge of information management.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)\n\nStrong communication skills, both oral and written.\n\nExcellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.\n\n*This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by this position.\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
