Electrical Maintenance Technician
HOURS: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week Hourly Rate: $31.96 - $38.96 (AFSCME Unified R9) JOB SUMMARY: Assists in maintaining County owned buildings, grounds, and equipment to preserve the buildings and to provide a safe and healthy environment for employee and clients. ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:Ability to follow both verbal and written directionsAbility to read and follow instructions to operate equipmentConsiderable knowledge of electrical systems and components and at least 4 years of working on said systemsPossess and maintain a valid driver's license, access to dependable transportation PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Repair and maintain the plumbing, heating, electrical, and air-conditioning systems in county owned buildingsMaintain landscapingPerform custodial work as neededMaintain sidewalks i.e., snow and ice removalMaintain exterior of buildingsPaint and recondition officesMaintain daily work recordsOperate power equipment QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED. Must have valid driver's license. Licensed Electrician - 4 years experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Employment is dependent on background check, criminal history, and drug screen. Applicant must complete County application form. Ability to climb ladders, crawl in small spaces, crouch, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to work outdoors and under somewhat adverse conditions.
