The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, an in-depth knowledge of metric prints, and an understanding of metal cutting principles. Participate in the installation of equipment at customers’ site as needed.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nAssemble and start-up new CNC machines to Heller factory specifications\r\nAssemble and start-up assembly equipment\r\nUtilize precision measuring instruments (such as calipers, levels, indicators, micrometers, lasers, etc.)\r\nPerform geometry checks according to Heller measuring protocols\r\nRead and follow mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical prints/drawings\r\nFitting, aligning, calibrating and adjusting parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements\r\nTroubleshoot machine errors\r\nMaintain a clean and orderly work environment\r\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\r\nNone\r\nProcess Owner Responsibilities:\r\nNone\r\nEducation and Experience:\r\nAdvanced technician training, completed related apprenticeship or a minimum of 4 years related experience.\r\nUnderstanding of drawings, schematics and troubleshooting\r\nPrevious CNC machining or machine building experience preferred\r\nExperience with precision machining assembly\r\nNC programming experience a plus\r\nJob Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\r\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints\r\nStrong mechanical skills\r\nStrong knowledge of CNC controls (Siemens/Fanuc)\r\nTime management skills\r\nSelf-motivated; able to work alone or in a team\r\nFull understanding of the metric system\r\nStrong math skills\r\nGood aptitude for troubleshooting\r\nWilling to work overtime as required\r\nTraining Requirements:\r\nGeneral Safety\r\n9001 Quality System Awareness\r\nISO 14001 Environmental Awareness\r\nOSHA 10\r\nPhysical Demands:\r\nSome physical exertion required.\r\nRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.\r\nPersonal Protective Equipment:\r\nSafety glasses\r\nHearing protection may be required while performing specific tasks.\r\nSteel toe safety shoes may be required while performing specific tasks.\r\nWork Environment:\r\nWorks in a plant environment.\r\nSome domestic/international travel maybe required.\r\nWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.\r\nCompany DescriptionHELLER was founded in 1894 as a small craftsmans workshop in Germany.
