Performs ultrasound procedures for the diagnosis of disease and study of the malfunction of organs. Responsible for providing consistently high levels of customer service and continuous quality improvement (CQI).Performs all aspects of patient care to optimize patient safety and radiation protection and reduce the likelihood of medical/health care errors.Consistently informs and prepares patients and family for ultrasound examinations.Practices effective medical and surgical aseptic procedures.Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric and general population.Assesses patient pain interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate adjustments in technique and when necessary, contacts physician for intervention.Selects a transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the organ to be examined, the depth of field, and other specifications of test.Produces high-quality images of internal organs and records diagnostic data on magnetic tape, computer disc, or PACS systems.Other duties, as needed.QualificationsBachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not requiredOne Year Of Radiologic/imaging Experience PreferredPrefer specific experience and training in ultrasoundGraduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic/Ultrasound TechnologyRegistered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical SonographersARRT and/or CRT certificationCurrent BLS certificationKnowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminologyAbility to read and communicate effectively in EnglishKnowledge Of Additional Languages PreferredBasic computer knowledgeCritical thinking and problem solvingAbility to operate HIS and PACS computer systemsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programRelocation assistanceRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceScheduleDay shiftOn callApplication Question(s)Did you graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology?Are you registered with the ARRT, AIUM, or ARDMS?EducationBachelor's (Preferred)ExperienceRadiology: 1 year (Preferred)License/CertificationARRT Certification (Preferred)CRT (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Washington, IN 47501 (Required)Ability To RelocateWashington, IN 47501: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personSimplyApply
