The Machining Process Engineer - NPI will work with a team of engineers and will report to an engineering manager to support machining and other processes. Responsibilities will include:Leading up to four new model machining projects at a time, responsible for the timelinesDetermining manufacturability for new business, including establishing the manufacturing steps and documenting the processSupport operations until product is running efficiently and at or below budgetWork with planning on machine availabilityProvide feedback to the customer when neededPartner with the design engineering team for design supportWork with all levels of manufacturing to complete projectsMonitor the new product timelines, ensuring on time deliveryAssist with capital equipment projects, including overseeing timelinesProvide documentation, such as creating work instructionsOther duties as directed by engineering managementThis is a hands-on role that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of their day, communicating with the production staff and working as a team to effectively launch new products into production.
