Senior Payroll Accountant, CPP - Remote

About the Opportunity:The Senior Payroll Accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and providing expert guidance on complex payroll issues. This role is critical in managing high-volume and complex payroll accounting tasks, supporting audit activities, and mentoring team members to maintain accuracy and regulatory adherence.3. Responsibilities:• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and regulatory requirements across multiple tax jurisdictions• Oversee quarter-end and year-end payroll tax filings and reconciliations• Provide expert analysis on payroll-related financial and accounting matters• Interpret and administer HR policies related to payroll processing• Manage complex payroll calculations and executive payroll components• Collaborate with Tax, Legal, HR, and vendors on payroll-related projects and compliance• Manage and reconcile general ledger payroll accounts• Prepare and process complex journal entries and support closing activities• Support internal and external audit processes with documentation and data validation• Identify and implement process improvements in payroll operations• Mentor and guide payroll team members4. Requirements:• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior payroll accountant role• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll legislation• Experience with payroll, time and labor, and accounting systems• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with strong attention to detail• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel• Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and experience with Oracle HCM, Oracle Fusion, ADP Smart Compliance, PeopleSoft ERP5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Annualized Salary Range: $84,500 - $137,3006.
