The role will drive manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and cost reduction by applying Lean, Six Sigma, DFM and fabrication best practices across cross-functional teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews and collaborate with product design to optimize parts and assemblies for production.\nReview 2D and 3D technical data from Product Engineering to design manufacturing\nprocesses in fabrication, welding and assembly that deliver a product that meets the\ndesign.\nDevelop and execute engineering changes on Manufacturing BOM's and routings to\ninstitutionalize process optimization efforts\nCoordinate, observe, and report on Production Process Validation (PPV) and\nProduction Trial Runs (PTR) when engineering changes impact production.\nDesign and qualify tooling, fixtures, and assembly stations; support installation and start-up on the factory floor.\nReview and develop Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) on critical parts to\nstratify and prioritize workload.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior engineers and train production teams on new processes and best practices.\nPartner with quality, supply chain, maintenance and production to ensure robust control plans, first article inspections and supplier process capability.\nQualifications\nBachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field; Masters preferred.\n4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-mix/high-volume environment, preferably with metal fabrication or welded assemblies.\nPractical experience with Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies; Green/Black Belt certification preferred.\nCandidates who answer the skills and questions will be the first applicants reviewed!\nBenefits\nFull Benefits Included\nFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
