Job Description Salary: 20-25$ hrly DOEMental Health Clinical InternshipPosition OverviewAva Health is seeking Clinical Interns (Masters Level) for practicum or internship placements in a mental health and substance use treatment setting.This is a hands-on counseling internship within a continuum of care (OP, IOP, PHP, Residential, Sub-Acute) where interns gain experience in group therapy, individual counseling, and multidisciplinary treatment.Ideal for students pursuing careers in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.Key ResponsibilitiesCo-facilitate and lead group therapy sessions (IOP & PHP)Provide individual counseling sessions (as appropriate)Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultationCollaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical staffAssist with treatment planning, progress notes, and documentationSupport clients with coping skills, emotional regulation, and recoveryParticipate in CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing-based programmingLearning OpportunitiesExperience in a behavioral health continuum of careDevelop skills in group therapy facilitation and individual counselingTraining in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, MI)Exposure to mental health and substance use treatment populationsLearn clinical documentation, treatment planning, and case conceptualizationWork in a multidisciplinary team environmentQualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Masters degree program (Counseling, Social Work, MFT, or related field)Eligible for Practicum or Internship placementWorking toward licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)Interest in mental health counseling, substance use treatment, or behavioral healthStrong communication skills and willingness to learnInterest in group therapy and clinical skill developmentPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in behavioral health, human services, or case managementInterest in addiction counseling or dual diagnosis treatmentAvailability during weekday daytime hours (PHP programming)What We OfferHands-on experience in a mental health and addiction treatment centerSupervision and mentorship from licensed cliniciansOpportunity to develop clinical counseling skillsExperience in group therapy, individual therapy, and treatment planningA collaborative team culture focused on growth, feedback, and creativityScheduleFlexible based on university requirementsPreferred availability during weekday daytime hoursTo ApplyReply to this add!
