Must reliable, working vehicle and maintain sufficient fuel to meet clients' transportation needs (company reimburses for personal vehicle use) should use of personal vehicle for client transportation be requested. Must have the ability to do basic math, legible handwriting and professional grammar skills.\nMust be available to work weekdays. Must be able to attend staff meetings that may be conducted after program hours and complete required DMH training including new hire and annual online assigned training. No weekends, or holidays.\nTeach individualized socialization and living skills to individuals having developmental disabilities through a culture of gentleness and respect.\nDevelop and implement daily programs for each individual assigned in a team or 1:1 setting in regards to program goals, independent living skills, self-help skills, life skills, self-advocacy in learning preferences/choices/communication skills, and community integration skills as well as other goals as indicated in the individual’s annual plan.\nImplement training goals for program participants.\nSupport program participants with personal care needs such as toileting, assistance with lunch, ROM, sensory needs, using Hoyer lifts, etc.\nComplete all documentation/charting by using the computer system. If you have experience with Therap, that's a plus!\nImplement community volunteer site activities and on site program/school activities.\nThe minimum qualifications for this position are:\nA valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a reliable vehicle.\nOne year of relatable experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nA stable work history\nIt is not required, but if you are a CNA, that's a plus!\nAbout Us:\nDeveloping Potential, Inc. is a nationally accredited CARF Day Habilitation program that began providing support services to adults with developmental disabilities in Jackson County in 1993.
