As a Data QA Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our data. You will work closely with our data engineers, analysts, and developers to write, execute, and maintain tests and scripts focused on our analytics code and processes. Your efforts will ensure that our data remains trustworthy, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.\nJob Responsibilities\nTest Development & Execution: Write, execute, and maintain comprehensive tests and scripts designed to validate our analytics code, data pipelines, and processes.\nTest Automation: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to streamline data quality assurance processes.\nData Validation: Develop and perform automated and manual tests to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all systems.\nCode Review: Collaborate with other data QA engineers and data engineers to review and improve data-related code.\nDocumentation: Document test cases, procedures, and results to ensure a clear record of data validation efforts.\nCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, provide feedback, and contribute to overall data quality improvements.\nContinuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest QA methodologies and tools, and continuously seek to improve testing strategies and processes.\nRequired Qualifications\nBS in Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Information Science, Mathematics, or a related field\n2+ years of hands-on experience in a similar position\nWorking knowledge of Python\nExperience working with relational data via Oracle, Postgres, and/or SQL Server\nExperience with test, verification, validation and productization of algorithms\nAbility to thrive in an Agile Scrum environment\nA desire and curiosity about learning innovative technologies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of Oracle, Python, Pandas and Sas.\nKnowledge of the energy industry, markets, and terminology\nExperience in a DevOps environment with CI/CD tools\nExperience working with big data systems like Snowflake, Redshift, OneLake, or other lake/lakehouse architectures.\nFamiliarity with data statistics and probability theory\nCompensation: $75,000 - $105,000\nNegotiable based on qualifications and experience.
